“Better Together,” a podcast focused on the academic benefits to students and the financial benefits to taxpayers, as a result of school districts participating in shared services relationships, was recently launched by the Middlesex Regional Educational Services Commission (MRESC).

The podcast can be heard by visiting www.mresc.k12.nj.us, and clicking “Better Together — MRESC’s Podcast Series about Shared Services,” listed under the NEWS heading.

Shared services, a relationship where two or more districts collaborate to meet a common need, frequently results in strengthening education for students and reducing costs to school districts, said MRESC Board President Dale Caldwell.

“Our elected officials continue advocating shared services as a way to maintain quality education in the face of reduced funding,” Caldwell said.
