NEW YORK -- goCharge, a provider of mobile device charging stations, has announced the launch of its Emergency Preparedness & Response Division (“EPR”). The division will focus on providing federal, regional and local governments and organizations with mobile device charging station solutions, critical to maintaining communication and connectivity with responders, evacuees and others during emergency situations.
As a key part of the launch of EPR, goCharge is introducing its new Solar-Powered line of Charging Stations-a Kiosk featuring 10 secured lockers, and a Hi-Top Table. Each Station provides multiple charging cords and ports and can operate either completely independent of “the grid”, or directly connected to an electrical receptacle.

goCharge has named Scott Holmquist Director of EPR. Holmquist has a distinguished 35-year career in Fire and Emergency services, and is currently Managing Partner of Pursuit Consulting, which provides emergency support, services and counsel for government agencies as well as private companies. He is retired assistant deputy director of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CalFire), and was a public safety specialist on natural and human-caused disasters with Pacific Gas & Electric.
