2019 AWS Imagine Grants for Non-Profit Partners
Non-profit organizations prioritizing technology as a mission-critical component of their projects can apply for AWS Imagine grants to support their goals.
AWS is accepting applications for the 2019 AWS Imagine Grant Program from eligible 501(c) nonprofit organizations in the United States.
New this year, organizations have the opportunity to receive up to $100,000 in unrestricted funding and up to $100,000 in AWS Promotional Credits, in addition to other capacity-building resources, including AWS training and implementation support.
As part of the program, AWS is seeking proposals for pilot projects, proof of concepts, strategic technology planning or existing programs that use technology in a new or expanded way. To get an idea of what is possible for nonprofits using AWS, review some of nonprofit success stories, like Thorn, which partners with law enforcement on national, state and local levels to address child exploitation and CommunityConnect Labs, which helps cities connect with their residents.
Thanks to CommunityConnect Labs for helping our city leverage innovation to simply – and effectively – collect location-based data for our Local Update of Census Addresses (LUCA)," -- Mayor Sam Liccardo, City of San Jose.
Selected organizations may receive the following:
- Up to $100,000 USD of unrestricted financial support
- Up to $100,000 USD in AWS Promotional Credits
- Up to 5 AWS Training Services Vouchers
- Project kickoff workshop and implementation support from AWS technical specialist(s)
- An opportunity for AWS marketing support
To apply, submit an six-page narrative following the proposal guidelines. Review the instructions, including Frequently Asked Questions section, for tips and resources.
Applications are due September 15, 2019.
