On May 18th from 2-3:30 pm EST the U.S. Department of Transportation (U.S. DoT) Transportation Planning Capacity Building (TPCB) Program will host a webinar featuring the Walk Friendly Communities assessment tools. The webinar will also feature panelists from Mayor’s Challenge for Safer People, Safer Streets.

The goal of the webinar is to offer ideas and inspire cities and towns that want to take the next step in building safe, comfortable and connected walking environments.

TPCB supports transportation decision makers with training and technical assistance. Training programs share examples of effective transportation planning practices from across the nation and provide an opportunity to establish peer-to-peer communications that build knowledge and skills in transportation planning.
